Here is an overview of the Director/Board Members’ duties.
The Board meets once a month for about two hours. The Board sets policy for snow sports and other events, decides on financial, marketing, and fund-raising matters affecting our organization, and takes action to ensure ABSF's continued viability. In addition, Board members are expected to serve on two committees.
Committee meetings are generally scheduled as needed.
Some may meet monthly, and others may meet only a few times a year for an hour or so. Committee members may be asked to perform duties between meetings requiring an additional hour or two of service for our organization.
You may already be familiar with the work of some of our committees, such as the Trip Committee, Safety Committee, Social Media Committee, and Fundraising Committee.
Blind/VI skiers and snowboarders are especially encouraged to take this step to ensure that ABSF can continue to fulfill its goals into the future.
